It does make sense to take advantage of the natural abundance of solar energy. How do you think problems such as base load and storage can be addressed?

During times of base load, there is plenty of sun as well. If it's raining for a view days or overcast. Thermal storage an solve the problem. This consists essentially in storing hot molten salt, which can then be converted into electricity at a later stage, when needed. These kind of technology are already industrially proven. =)
