and when computers were first invented they were huge someone thought to minimize them now we have microchips why not mini wind turbines
Description
Guidance on collaborative pilot
This is a pilot test of a new, collaborative approach for getting work done in the Climate CoLab. It will run during March and April of 2012.Just like in the 2011 activities, anyone can create a proposal. But there is also a community proposal, where members are encouraged to work together in a collaborative way. Any member can contribute to the community proposal as long as they are logged in.
The community proposal is like a wiki, so the history of edits is tracked, and you can revert to prior versions of the proposal if desired.
Please also use the Comments to express your opinion on whether or not you would like to see this collaborative approach used in the Climate CoLab in 2012.
Feel free to organize the proposal as you see fit. One thought—it's good to have a brief summary of the overall proposal at the top, as an aid to readers.Proposal Text
Summary
if we could take the technology of large wind turbines and have many mini wind turbines that can be used on planes trains and automobiles the energy created from just the movement of these vehicles can be stored in batteries or energy cells for later use and the faster these vehicles go the more energy they would produce
Category of the action
Reducing emissions from transportation
What actions do you propose?
research should be done to create micro-turbines that can be placed along vehicles to produce power to propel vehicles
Who will take these actions?
automobile companies train and plane manufacturers as well as alternative wind energy companies should all consider more research and development in the creation of micro-turbines and units a bigger might be better in creating more from one but imagine what powers can be harnessed from many turbines
Where will these actions be taken?
these actions can be taken all over the world
How much will emissions be reduced or sequestered vs. business as usual levels?
as far as I'm concerned wind is emission free is it not?
What are other key benefits?
What are the proposal’s costs?

this idea is similar to one I posted about many or smaller turbines built into buildings
