Pitch

climate-solution is proposed to be opinion-based social network where people from all around the world can connect on climate solutions.

Description

Summary

Climate-solution is proposed to be opinion-based social network where people from all around the world can discover, debate and discuss today's hottest climate issues. Here participants can share their perspective to the world and interact with like-minded individuals on breaking news, hot topics and controversial issues on climate change.

With that many angles, the discussions on climate-solutions will open your eyes to a panoramic view of your world that you won't get anywhere else, allowing you to see the big picture and discuss it.

Category of the action

Urban adaptation

What actions do you propose?

We want to create ClimateSolution.com a social networking site that will unite a global community of innovators around a shared vision:
The power of technology and new media to tackle climate change and to make the world a better place.

We want to build a community of connectors, bringing together ideas and action in our social media era to tackle climate change.

The ClimateSolution.com engagement platform will provide a space for a truly global conversation to take shape—a place where connectors can collaborate, share best practices, influence local and global agendas, and find new ways to translate their vision into action.

Anyone can be a part of this community. There will be three ways to get started:

·         Join the ClimateSolution.com Community {online} Make new connections to innovators, social entrepreneurs, and thought leaders to address one of the world’s most pressing challenges (climate change).

·         Add your voice, and help drive the global conversation.

·         Host a ClimateSolution Meetup in your local community {in-person + online} Highlight the social solutions happening in your region or area of interest. ClimateSolution.com organizers around the world can bring their communities together to take on issues ranging from the climate change, economy to the environment, from poverty to education, from women’s rights to global health and beyond.

Who will take these actions?

I think we need to start a company or organization that runs this project. we will need funding for salary for the team leaders, Rent for office space in the city, Compensation for the people in the design team, Funding that covers cost for materials, office, prtining etc.Maybe we can get companies in the region to go together and create a fund for this procejt to use for social change in the city!

However, the project will be Led by interdisciplinary teams of emerging talents in the areas of urbanism, architecture, art, design, science, technology, education, and sustainability, constituted by Rainbow Gate Foundation Nigeria. They will be responsible for day in day out activities of the project across the world.

Where will these actions be taken?

Any location around the world is sutaible for this project since its a social network.

What are other key benefits?

This concept is an attempt to help people help themselves and rise from the hopelessness that they may find themselves in when the neighborhoods and surroundings have reached stage of social and economic decline. It is important that new ideas and initiatives are well anchored with the local residents, and that they feel ownership for the change that may come.

What are the proposal’s costs?

we might need a startup capital of atleast 20,000 Dollars
