This project is the best and its implementation will help reduce the amount of solid and/or liquid human wastes as well as creating energy sources. The project is both social, economic and environmental friendly. It will create job opportunities for many jobless citizens and promote the notion that recycling is all encompassing. I fully support this project and await its implementation,!!

Being aware of the various environmental challenges resulting from poor management of human wastes, i think this idea, if implemented will help improve the sanitation of a number of Kenyan institutions and curb environmental crises such as climate change and global warming.I fully support the proposal.

This idea for real can manage waste discharge to the environment and reduce methane emisiion to the atmosphere. I will to see its implementation.

You can also include grass and water hyacinth to produce methane gas hence reducing its effect in lake Victoria

Biogas burns with a smokeless flame, hence its adoption will curb some of the respiratory diseases and regular coughing due to smoke emitted while using wood fuel.

I will like the owner of this proposal to include the time saved while using biogas in cooking due to its efficiency than when we use wood fuel and charcoal. This time saved will be used in another pursuit.

Waste management needs the integration and consideration of all principles of environmentalism. This project if implemented, i think the sewer material discharge to the environment will decline.

Thank you for your entry, and we're glad to see the level of support and discussion about this proposal. Generating biogas from human waste is a good idea (though not a new one). This approach has been used a lot in China and India, and if done right, can be costly. The proposal does not take costs into account in a detailed way--an estimate of $150,000 was given for construction of the digesters, but there are no estimates for ongoing operating costs. The proposal would also have benefited if it had more detail on the technical approach and more on how it the team plans to take advantage of lessons learned from biogas projects in other parts of the world.
