Renewable Energy Resort Conference Center. Mixed use development with Condo, Hotel, Office and Retail. All powered by www.carnegiewave.com

Description

Summary

The Renewable Energy Resort Conference will be a Renewable Energy demonstration project on the East Coast of Florida.  It will be LEED platinum standard.  Will create excess utilities and the owners of the individual units will own a share of the utiltiies.  These "Ecominium" owners will have a chance to use these monies earned to offset maintenance fees creating a new type of condominium.

My company has been working to bring Renewable Energy to Volusia county.  The broad stroke is we will use Carnegie Wave Ceto technology to power our technology center.  http://www.carnegiewave.comThis is a mega resort conference center that will make its own desalinated water and power and will be a renewable energy demonstration project.  I have been developing stakeholders and government interest.I would love to share the idea with you.  It is located on East International Speedway in Daytona Beach FL.http://1drv.ms/1nrNSSs

Category of the action

Building efficiency: Physical Action

What actions do you propose?

The project is eligible for a plethora grants and incentives.

ERIC (Energy Renewable Innovation Cluster) funding.

State Renewable demonstration grants.

TIFF tax incremental financing.

Job creation incentives.  Just to name a few.

A public/private partnership to create jobs and awareness of climate change and how renewable energy can mitigate those issues.

Who will take these actions?

Federal, State and Local government agencies will have to use the full force of their resources to capitalize on this infrastructure upgrade.

The Carnegie Wave technology creates electricity and water.  Water is a hot issue in Florida and the DEP is on board to reduce pressures on the Florida Aquifers.

Electricity is tightly controlled by the existing Monopolies.  New systems will be hard fought to overcome these obstacles.

Where will these actions be taken?

Daytona Beach Florida, Volusia County

How much will emissions be reduced or sequestered vs. business as usual levels?

The concept is scalable and could be used over the 28 miles of coastline.  There are several locations that could incorporate the Ceto technology in to the new developments that are coming in the future.

Emission reduction would be substaintial.

What are other key benefits?

The project will increase public awareness of the capabilities of Renewable energy technology.  It will bring together all of the different disciplines looking to capitalize on what our area has to offer.

What are the proposal’s costs?

The project as it stands could cost upwards of $500 million.

If the new pier and underwater hotel is added with the Submarine Tours and other infrastructure necessities the project could cost $1 billion.

Time line

A Developer would purchase the land.  From there he would hire the noted economist Henry Fishkind ofhttp://www.fishkind.comat a cost of $250K to $300K the entitlements could be quantified along with the economic impact and analysis.
