Significantly reduce carbons from Portland cement by use of our cellular, air-entrainment machine reinforced with Basalt rebars, mesh, fiber

Description

Summary

Portland cement is the world's worst polluter in the construction world and our air-entraining cement greatly reduces or in geo-polymers almost completely reduces the carbon footprint of Portand cement. Adding our volcanic rock basalt reinforcements makes for the worlds best new solution to housing problems and affordability. (the worlds largest creator of carbon emissions in the construction industry). Houses can be constructed in a couple days that are strong, secure, water and fire and bug retardant while being many times more affordable. Adding our basalt rebars, mesh and chopped fibers to this solution is a perfect complement. Basalt fibers are inert, green, recyclable, non-respirable, UV immune, incredibly strong, 70 percent lighter than steel but twice easily as strong and will never rust and corrode and not harbor bacteria while being non-conductive. Perfect for seismic problems as the elastic modulus is so great that these rebars want to be straight not stay bent like steel rebars.

Category of the action

Building efficiency: Physical Action

What actions do you propose?

To bring our machines which add thousands of insulating air to concrete while maintaining a super strong product to housing needs around the world. Way more afordable and much more insulating while helping prevent water and fire damage.

Who will take these actions?

Housing is needed by millions of people and affording these houses is a huge problem. Using conventional wood framing and portland cement is no longer sensible or affodable. We work with NGOs, church groups, governments, developers and anyone who sees merit in a smarter way of building.

Where will these actions be taken?

Around the world. Starting with places like American Indian reservations or indiginous tribes where heat is expensive and housing is expensive.

How much will emissions be reduced or sequestered vs. business as usual levels?

Thousand of tons less emissions can and will be acheived. Presently portland cement is the worlds worst culprit in emissions for the construction industry.

What are other key benefits?

Insulation, fire retardancy, water repellent, strong, bug proof and much much more affordable as construction with our forms and materials is less than half of present methods and materials.

What are the proposal’s costs?

An air-entrainment machine delivered with forms can make thousands of homes. 50-60 thousand dollars for the machine and 20 thousand for the forms. The binder for the foaming agent is purchased instead of regular portland cement.

Time line

We have machines being fabricated and ready to go. Local soil and sand aggregate analysis is done to make a perfect fit with our binder foaming agent.

No one else has a similar package to our solution of the cellular concrete with the Basalt reinforcements.
