Capture rainwater and irrigate. Lower cost topology H2O-efficient intelligent irrigation. More food with less water. www.bit.ly/MLrLpq

Description

Summary

Climate change is causing droughts followed by deluges. Rainwater must be saved and then distributed to distant crops via irrigation. Current intelligent irrigation systems trench the PVC pipe and then separately trench the wire pair that supports a digital control network. This network is used to monitor the moisture content of the different areas of fields, and to turn on a spray only where water is needed.

I propose that the wire pair be embedded in the PVC so that a single trenching operation is sufficient. Labor is reduced. Also, the electrical connections can be made more simple and more reliable.

The cost of an intelligent irrigation system could be reduced.

The invention has US and Canadian patents.
