Hello Martin. Your proposal really tweaked my research interest. I think you're on solid footing with the understandable constraint being biomass source location and availability.

I hear China is also looking at small, portable nuclear powered generators which will connect, forming a power grid anywhere in the world. Our NIF is looking at fusion pellets which offers portability:

You make some extremely attractive claims in your proposal, which make it very interesting. I suggest adding additional details that allow some understanding of the technology that underpins your proposal would make your it a lot more compelling.
I look forward to reading further technical details.

Thank you for submitting this proposal. The modular nature and ability to provide baseload power are both very attractive. As I understand it, this proposal is essentially for a biomass reactor with a novel form of gas cleaning technology. I have a few comments:
1. Some description of the functioning of the scrubber would be helpful. As well, you should include references to the patents and other sources.
2. You mention that this technology could be used 'anywhere', but you contradict yourself later when you say it requires a close source of waste feedstock.
3. Did you forget a few decimal places in your cost estimate? $1.5/kW capex puts this technology at about 3 orders of magnitude less than existing technologies. Check the data under the 'OpenEI Database' section of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cost_of_electricity_by_source#US_Department_of_Energy_estimates.

An interesting approach but it is highly dependent on how the technology works , which is neither explained or validated. On-site generation and direct waste to electricity are promising technologies that should be developed further. Approach of addressing off-grid markets first is a sound approach.Need a good manufacturing partner once feasibility is proven.The most important early step here is to build a prototype that shows the technology works and proves the emissions claims.
The concept is small, 24/7 containerized power plants with no CO2 emissions at a very low price, i.e. below $1.50/kWe. While the overall approach seems a very reasonable one, there is a lack of information on the two key points: the "novel electric scrubber" and how to reach "below than $1.50/kWe. The technology and the cost associated with it have to be demonstrated. Since the relatively small scale proposed from each plant, it should not be difficult to produce a few demos.
