An interesting proposal to build a platform for crowdfunding investments into solar projects. Several options for financing the up front costs for solar projects have emerged in the past few years, offering savings to customers with little up front capital. This promises to build another platform that leverages the popularity (and impact) of crowdfunding. However, there have been a number of similar businesses that have launched in Europe. Abundance in UK https://www.abundancegeneration Lumo in France www.lumo-france.com How would your proposal improve on existing models?

The proposal has been significantly revised. It now incorporates more detailed references to a much larger number of crowdfunding platforms (especially those focused on civic impact and/or renewable energy) and other relevant resources and models. Distinctions between this proposal and the other sites have also been clarified. This proposal adapts what is now becoming a well-tested idea to solve capital access problems for a larger number of smaller (e.g. residential)-scale systems rather than a small number of larger (e.g. municipal)-scale systems. This proposal has an initial focus on solar (compared to broader European startups), and an initial geographic focus in the U.S. (compared to European or African examples), and proposes to admit contributions from non-accredited investors (more like Kiva Zip than e.g. Solar Mosaic or CrowdSun).

Strong proposal to establish community solar crowd funding platforms to enable individuals (non accredited investors) to crowdfund local, community solar installations. This is a creative, feasible proposal with a clear understanding of the current state of the art that is sufficiently different to warrant strong consideration.

All attempts to reduce emission from energy generation are quite pertinent & useful. These should be coupled with attempts at Biological Carbon Capture & Sequestration so that the Net Effect would be more. Would it be possible to include into your client communications a request to 'save the seeds of fruits eaten by their units (work/family) throughout the year and spread/help spread those seeds onto unused land in the vicinity.' This would help increase the green cover, density and in long run provide fruits free of cost to everyone. Along with marine a land bases CCS program would be beneficial. A proposal outlining such an approach is available. Following is a link to such a proposal. https://www.climatecolab.org/web/guest/plans/-/plans/contestId/1300103/planId/1310401 This would bolster the efforts directed at finding workable solution to climate change..

Folks interested in this proposal may also want to check out https://www.climatecolab.org/web/guest/plans/-/plans/contestId/1300401/planId/1307119 which is a similar proposal but focuses exclusively on installations on rooftops owned by the US federal government.
