This is yet another nonsense proposal.

Yep, I just read a proposal in tranportation that was for a flying saucer powered by jet engines working in opposite directions and apparently lauched by "making explosion". We desperately need fundamental science education throughout the world.

@denniswilmeth: Thanks for the proposal! @robertdedomenico and @tominga: Thanks for participating, but if you do not agree with a proposal please try to provide constructive criticism to help the author to improve her/his proposal, while increasing the knowledge base of the community. Respectful discourse is important, we are all in this together.

@jharti. I agree with your post and apologize for my somewhat snarky post above. I would like to see the admins flag projects that are either obvious trolling or post by disturbed individuals that claim to have invented perpetual motion machines etc.

The proposal is interesting but there is inadequate examination of the technical aspects of the wind energy generation or the solar technology.

The proposal is interesting but the wind generation requires further explanation as the sail is stationary. Also there is inadequate examination of the solar component. while a flexible panel is possible in theory there has not been an examination of whether this is suitable for a sail structure, mechanics and weight etcetera.
