- Very solid proposal from a competent team. Interesting program to develop analog forestry techniques in southern Ontario Canada ecosystem.
- Proposal is clear, with an enthusiastic group ready to take it on. Should be doable. Not a large impact, but could be useful as an example.
- The list of items addressed in this presentation is very complete. The improvements are very good. The topic “How much will emissions be reduced or sequestered vs. business as usual levels?" is addressed. There is no estimated information yet about the emission reduction values but there is good information provided about how the emissions data would be collected by resetting several items.

Judges'' comments
Novelty: 3/5 Analog forestry is not new but is an increasingly discussed topic in the Anthropocene, to find a middle ground between untouched forests and cleared crop land. The application proposed here is in a first nation community in Ontario Canada.
Workability: 4/5 The proposing organization appears to have the capability to carry this through. The estimated costs are reasonable.
Effectiveness: 3/5 A potential means to avoid full conversion of tropical forest to cropland. This proposal complements the proposal titled “Analog forestry” which seeks analog forestry in the Peruvian Amazon.
Thoroughness: 4/5 Quite well-developed proposal. One thing that is lacking is the section "How much will emissions be reduced or sequestered vs. business as usual levels?" Although it is difficult to quantitatively estimate the future climate benefits of analog forestry, there should at least be a discussion of how analog forestry could in principle reduce GHG emissions, i.e. what are the inter-relationships?

(1) It is a very complete list of items that are addressed in this presentation. Mostly focused on Analog Forests charts and work is to be conducted in Saugeen First Nation.
(2) There is no information on Summary except for a picture of forest trees.
(3) Work is based on Analog Forests that is already implemented in Canada.
(4) The program is an ongoing endeavor by Green Feet for over 3 years and the proposed action is to be taken in Southampton, Ontario, Canada, which is next to the ocean, as is Saugeen.
(5) There is no information at all on “How much will emissions be reduced or sequestered vs. business as usual levels?
