Your energy research should also include Lawrenceville Plasma Physics in New Jersey, who is developing aneutroinc fusion, which has much radiation exposure than Fission.

It is really great idea to engage people and communicate the environment impact (specifically climate) for each of energy source. This would also make people aware about the impact and resource availability for each of the energy and technology. One more effective way would be involving technology institutes or schools enter into competition. The coverage of technical colleges or schools would cover families and people they know which increase the impact coverage. I look forward for more sharper and detailed proposal. All the best!

This is an interesting proposal. But beyond the unusual format, how is it different from other types of conferences or technology fairs that people can attend regarding climate and energy?
