Generally, I like the idea a lot. However, transportation with these RPTs is still individual, so roadways (railways respectively) might be still congested? Could there be a possibility of bundling RPTs along frequently and mutually used road sections to save space on the road and energy usage? Or, what about RPT parking lots next to train stations? So people could travel by train and only take an RPT for individually travelling the last mile to their home.

The next time you're sitting at an intersection, needlessly waiting for the light to turn green, even though in theory there's room to pass through, consider that only an automated system can be trusted to do so. > Could there be a possibility of bundling RPTs along frequently and mutually used road sections to save space on the road and energy usage? If reusing the existing roads instead of adding new, redundant elevated systems can cover the job, the answer is to just reuse the existing roads. > Or, what about RPT parking lots next to train stations? In my proposal all parking lots are eliminated. Just imagine how much land becomes usable again for something other than ugly asphalt. gary
