The key idea behind this proposal is to introduce value to waste, turn it into opportunity. How may a hazardous material can save life.

We want to see our city clean. For that, we study domestic waste whose handling is a headache her in Pakistan.

We found many of the waster material is picked by waste pickers. Like waste food for the animals to feed (in cow shed) , papers for recyclers.

Plastic we found lying so much here and there.

We proposed a plan to add value to this plastic waste.

How can it be treated as a currency?

We study its properties. Plastic can float well specially the one we found in abundance.

If it get to a shape of cube, it will be a floating cube.

these floating cubes can form a raft. further it can give an access toward deep sea as well as generate electricity from tidal power.

Another use is to fabricate it as a raft in villages where flood is expected.

The raft will float, hence will save numerous lives.

Category of the action

Reducing emissions from waste management

What actions do you propose?

It will reduce plastic waste, because it can be used as

1- Access to sea

2-Generate electricity

3-Anti flood measure

Who will take these actions?

Any welfare organization that can give a platform for the collection and the cube formation can make this happen on real grounds.

Where will these actions be taken?

1-Sea shores.

2-Flood affected areas.

What are other key benefits?

It will introduce introduce income generation.

A green business

Lesser plastic hazard

Flood resilience

How much will emissions be reduced or sequestered vs. business as usual levels?

For tidal energy generation purpose

it will cut off the equivalent emission

What are the proposal’s costs?

If not handled properly, It may spread junk of plastic throughout.

Plus if compressed harder ,It might not float

Compression emission

Time line

less than a year
