TLUDs, (Top-Lite Up Draft) Cook Stoves for the roughly 1 billion folks world wide now using open burning.
A TLUD per Household of 4, producing 0.52 tons char/Household/yr, X 250M = 130 Mt Char/yr
Showing sequestration of 130 Million tons of Biochar per year, could be achieved just from cooking.
In terms of CO2e, these 250M Households reduce 825M Tons of CO2e annually.

The cascading pulmonary health benefits for woman & children is the very thick icing on this nearly 1/2 GtC Soil Carbon Cake.

CO2 must become a fungible commodity. Like oil. Oil cost more here or cost less there but the world oil price is controlled by a market. Adding the Externalized cost of oil, fossil carbons, to this market is what is needed. CO2 is that mechanism.

Cap & Trade worked for NOX & SOX, no public outcry, no financial pain, the best solutions guided by the proverbial "invisible hand" sweeping away acid rain.
Conventional policy is closing the Ozone Hole.

The invisible hand of CO2e needs to be made manifest by policy, the same for NPK, nutrients in the wrong place have social/ecological cost, in the right places high values. Carbon in the right place tremendous soil values. These now mostly "Externalized Values" for society, hydrology, ecology, soils etc. must be placed on the balance sheet.

I make biochar/charcoal during the heating system in retorts in my wood stove and pellet stove. This process creates it as a byproduct of the carbon I'm already burning (i.e. for zero extra carbon). I use some of the charcoal for BBQ cooking. The rest goes into the soil. The TLUD is great if you have one, and could be a replacement for the BBQ one has when it rusts out.
