Remarks: The proposal is based on a micro community model, where student teams are incentivized to create small social start-ups around waste management. Waste management is a critical issue in India and the involvement of students as a driving force is welcome. Some aspects that need to be addressed in the proposal are: the details related to the estimation of the total costs and the means of funding through certification fee from students, the existing institutional framework and how the student initiative fits into it, the linkages with Swachh Bharat mission, clarity on the start-up dimension, ensuring continuity of the initiative esp. with the community once the student team members graduate/move on, exposure of students to the best practices/technical solutions that currently exist in India and in other countires.
