How can industry innovate to meet the climate challenge and drive sustainable growth?

Industry is the key contributor to economic growth and prosperity, and is also a leading global source of greenhouse gases (GHGs). The International Energy Agency estimates that to meet global GHG reduction goals by 2050, a full quarter of all reductions need to come from the industrial sector. This contest seeks innovative, well-described, actionable solutions that will enable continued global economic growth, while achieving major emission reductions in the industrial sector in the coming decades.

9 Proposals
Removing inefficiencies of industrial innovation by facilitating collaborations and accelerating R&D solutions toward earlier adoption.
Molecular Imprinted Polymers present a unique opportunity to make inexpensive materials that selectivly bind to and filter pollutants.
An online sustainable materials database and networking platform working toward creating a new era in industry with a Zero emission mission
Leaving industries chimneys is a lot of Hot Wasted Energy and CO2 and Water. Recover it ~ Reduce it ~ Conserve it.
A double walled crucible, between which hydrogen will be re-combined in a piston type set up, to heat the crucible enough to melt steel.
Low cost carbon negative fuel can be produced in abundance through chemosynthesis. The global industrial sector can exploit this reality.
Money drives everything today & is the reason we are suffering from Climate Change. Money incentives & fines will help mitigate this problem
We can recyle a LOT of CO2 into renewable jet and diesel fuels by exploiting flying windmills out in the middle of the oceans.
Carbon neutrality is possible for thermoelectrical plants and heavy industry. Carbon dioxide scrubbers are feasible with propper design.
