I like it, but at the same time you could do a "google thingy" (or so I overheard): instead of some time off maybe consider some spare time for the employee to think about her or his own project, with considering the climate for a change instead of only looking for profit. Maybe some good things/a win win will pop out because of the spare time you give to the employee to wander about the issue. just my 2 cents really.

Looks like an good idea. I will link it to my main proposal:Settle the carbon debt and release the power of example!https://www.climatecolab.org/web/guest/plans/-/plans/contestId/1300210/planId/1308202 Taking climate leave seems like a good way to make a difference by showing example.

Thanks for your proposal! As this is offering a solution, not a contest suggestion, it has been moved to the proposal workspace where you can continue to develop it. ~~ Laur Fisher for the Climate CoLab team

Hello Nicholas, Thanks for your proposal to the Climate CoLab. I'm one of the catalysts, helping provide comments and feedback, in an effort to help strengthen proposals. Thanks for beginning your proposal on the topic of climate leave. Please continue to flesh out this idea, what you propose specifically, and fill out the various sections of the description before the 6/13 deadline. You will want to ensure your response addresses how this proposal will impact the theme of this contest, shaping attitudes and behavior on climate change. Thanks for your contributions to the CoLab!

Good thought! This should be one step for Private sector to show committment by making their employee spent time like the social committment on climate change. Do complete your proposal. Regards, Vishal
