The monorail of 3 meter high for massive transport of passenger in small and large cities based in renewable energy

Description

Summary

The monorail of 3 meter high is a compact and versatile system that employs renewable energy electricity from hydro powerThe elevated guideway is 3 m, section area of the vehicle: width 1.8 m and hight 1.9 m, the design have the objective for that all passenger can travel sitting. The elevated guideway is of a material that weighs less and costs less than conventional, this can be achieved because each train have two singles vehicles, then the total weight  is not significant as it is currently. Each monorail can carry 50 passengers, so that their mobility by its size is greater than a larger monorail, is based on physical principles such as momentum, moment of inertia, friction forces, energy and power, these factors are crucial to the operation of an electric vehicle, because while smaller or compact then system use lower power. These variables are crucial for contribute to greater speed and versatility too more efficient, it is easier to control the starting and braking of one large, a small vehicle is moved more easily in curve by its moment of inertia. The height is only 3 m over sidewalk, the people would transit freely underneath, cyclists and even small electric vehicles. In some places the light monorail may be only one way and in others places in two-way this depend on the width of the road. Electrical systems are protected from rain. Generally all devices and components are proportionally smaller in magnitude than the standard monorail as cost, autoparts, infrastructure. Finally on air pollution is practically zero in the path of the vehicle, the idea is that the government, companies and research centers work together to achieve the massification of the system, which can become urban transport in small and big cities and that can withstand the increase in population in the coming decades.

What actions do you propose?

The governments should make laws to Implement this massive system of passenger transport based in renewable energy. The joint investment would be between the government, companies and universities. The operation of this system would help stop issuing greenhouse gas therefore the effect would be to slow climate change.

Who will take these actions?

The government, companies and universities.

The roles:

The governments must implement policies to change the current transportation system that is based on oil for the monorail electric of 3 meter high. Can contribute with part of the investment and the authorization of the roads on which it is built. The companies contribute with another part of the budget and also will be the manager the operation of the system. The universities participate in research related to the system, improving the efficiency of the different components, study of materials, energy efficiency, use of renewable energy in the system, impact over environmental, impact over human health.

Where will these actions be taken?

In Worldwide, in all small,  big and megacities

How much will emissions be reduced or sequestered vs. business as usual levels?

The carbon footprint per person than I have calculated from my research on CO2 emissions is approximately kgCO2 0.05 per person per day. In the case of the US, then we could have about 1.5 million kgCO2 per day. This could change with the proposed system

What are other key benefits?

Transportation massive of passengers

Zero emission

Will allow better transport quality

Achieve reduce noise pollution from transport

Minimize the space in your building

Minimize intervention in road infrastructure

Minimize the construction cost compared to a conventional monorail system

Decrease the height of the monorail for a easy access

Reduce vehicle weight

Minimize travel time

Zero accidents

Facilitate the transit of pedestrian and bicycle

Durability: more than 50 years

Transport in short time

Reduce the health problems as stress and respiratory aspects

What are the proposal’s costs?

The costs comparative are around of 50 % of cost of a monorail conventional, Total cost per mile (1.6 km) $7M

Time line

4 months for a stretch of 20 km, this is possible for the characteristics of the proposal, in 5 years could be built a network for a city
