Interesting proposal. I agree that the general population needs more understanding of fusion approaches. I can’t help but wonder if the problem runs more deeply into a lack of STEM education. Also, could you talk about public involvement in technical issues like this versus less technical issues like energy efficiency or opposition to new gas lines? Seems to me there are lots of barriers to public involvement in highly technical issues.

I am having trouble with the wiki links you provided; perhaps you could provide some other references?

I recognize that it is frustrating to have had your proposal rejected last year; but I wouldn’t bother delving into that in this proposal.
