Hi Neil,

Thanks for your imaginative and interesting proposal. We are sorry that we couldn't advance it to the next round but here are some constructive comments from our judges:

1. Feasibility: Graphene filters are in early phases of R&D. Are there some large systems outside laboratories that are currently working in any part of the world? Moreover, can you look into some cost considerations of such extensive pipe laying?
2. Impact: The proposal is currently largely from an engineering perspective, but what are the environmental and social consequences of the solution? Disturbing ecosystems on a large scale, massively moving water out of one eco-context and into another, who gains and who can afford to gain?
