Judges'' comments
The judges decided that the proposal was not sufficiently developed at this time. The proposal is interesting and could have an impact on CO2 sequestration if successfully implemented. However, the proposal needs more work on the following elements:
1. Political feasibility of the project.
2. Economic sustainability of the project.
3. “Proposal Costs” section of the proposal.
4. Research on the successes and failures of similar agroforestry projects and policies could help to demonstrate the feasibility of the project.
The judges encourage the proposal author to come back next year with a more complete proposal.
