Summary
Charles Robert Darwin made a quote in (1874) that "ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge; it is those who know little, and not those that know much, who positively assert that this or that problem will never be solved by science."
This quote by Darwin has ultimately compounded and created volumes of massive resentment between those who have devoted a lifetime of focus on what they regard as higher level thinking skills which they feel are often ridiculed and scoffed . . where the only reward if any . . is meager acceptance. Especially while others who are sometimes classified with possibly lower level skills find their path increasingly rewarding both prestigiously and monetarily.
Using as a simple example; One side of a Norman Rockwell painting presents a a scenario depicting a frustrated hack or a lifetime poet of prose trying unsuccessfully to hail a taxi in the rain and abruptly getting puddle splashed by a successful hip/hop artist who chants rhyme while riding in his chauffeured limousine.
The above example may be measured as just a small significance when compared to the many millions of situations on the massive backdrop of Planet Earth. But to those players involved (like you and me) who want to encourage others to help us save lives are two of the most compelling and important aspects of our lives.
What are the factors and variables that gives an individual or group the credibility to cause others to listen, sift through, and understand the difference between trivia and the severity of a situation where millions of lives are hanging in the balance?

These factors and variables could in themselves make great discussions especially by those individuals and groups who want to expand parameters and have their messages to be heard and better understood.
What actions do you propose?
The Challenge:
A few short years ago when climate change became a planetary topic of concern . . the deniers climbed to the rooftops and raised their voices for 15 minutes of fame.
The Irony of Denial:
What is the humanitarian exchange rate . . for 15 minutes of fame?
The Irony Continues:
Today science has spoken. The deniers of yesterday have been replaced by detractors and solution delayers, who cloak themselves in neutrality to confuse, confound, and expand their self-serving agendas on the global masses.
A monumental Challenge:
In a world obsessed with self-serving and cavalier agendas . . it is paramount the skilled minds of academia work together with innovators to step out-of-the-box and move solution forward to effect significant change in the climate change arena.
If innovation continues to be denied access to the climate arena by deniers, detractors, and solution delayers . . the only option standing between Planet Earth and chaos is the rapid up-front implementation of humanitarian band-aids on a massive scale!
But in the real world, we are running out of time for innovation and adaptation if we are to exit the paradoxical roads that leads to planetary chaos.

'Outside - the - Box'
A true story!
About 60 years ago my Dad set in motion my desire to expand parameters 'outside-the-box' and the resilience and discipline to cope and move forward when confronted with what others would term failure.
In 1956 I was about 13 years and my folks, myself and my 3 younger brothers lived on 10 acres on highway 66 about a 1/4 mile from a small town in Oklahoma. My Dad hauled cars for the Ford Motor Company.
About once a year or so around 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning someone would fail to make the curve and run through our barbed wire fence on the south side of the pasture.
If they could find traction and maintain enough momentum, they would continue and also teardown the fence on the west side of our pasture and escape on a small road that ran next to the football field into town.
In less than five minutes the folks in town would have 6 horses running through their yards and clotheslines at 2 or 3 in the morning and believe me when I say the callers were not a bunch of happy campers.
With Dad on his way back home from a delivery trip in Texas and the phone ringing off the hook . . Mom loaded me and my brothers Jerry 10, Jimmie 3, and Jacky 1, with 6 lead ropes and 2 buckets of oats in the car and we would head to town and pray the horses had not yet run up and down the football field.
The next morning Dad, who had driven all night from Texas arrived home. The good news was although the fence had been down all night . . our milk cow and its calf stayed close to the feed lot and thanks to the buckets of oats we had lead ropes on our 4 riding horses.
But the bad news was the 2 half-wild yearling horses were lost and never found. Someone said that they were last seen heading north full gallop on Highway 66 about a mile from the Oklahoma/Kansas state line.
Back in 1956 the biggest worry a farmer or rancher feared on downed fences was for one or more of his animals to get out and then be hit by a car or truck on the highway and the farmer or rancher being sued by the victim's family for everything the farmer or rancher owned.
As a kid, I heard a story this was one of the big reasons that so many animals who got killed on the highways were never claimed by their owners.
Dad now on his second day with no sleep or rest, had Jerry and I load the wheelbarrow full of tools and barbed-wire and we headed out to repair the fence.
Being the big brother - I was telling Jerry that if I ever found out who tore all of our fences down . . there was going to be a knock down drag-out like this country has never seen!
Finally Dad said in a low but decisive tone that we clearly understood, "Boys, you either need to push or pull or get outta the road!" In other words, it was time to stop talking and start doing!
I realize that phase "to push or pull or get out of the way "has probably been stated many thousands of times before and after my dad said that phrase to me and my little brother, Jerry, on that cold morning over 60 years ago.
I have often heard or read it repeated by others relating to situations in our lives ranging from simple to complex.
But the day Dad spoke and I first heard those words we as a small family were experiencing a difficult time where we were not in control of our circumstances.
Little did I appreciate that cold day those circumstances which I thought was out of control was a fairy tale with a good ending . . compared to the chaos being lived that very day by tens of millions of families on Planet Earth. Being 13 years old living in a small family in Oklahoma with the essentials of food on the table and clothes on my back was beyond my scope of appreciation!
As a researcher 60 years later, I have closely watched a world once capable of seeking common ground for good now floundering in a world of disarray.
A world where many of our young great minds lack the discipline to pull or push or get out of the way. Where the narrative is immersed in descriptive 4 letter words to demean and denigrate - where the only rewards are shout-outs, shout-backs, and shoot-outs by emulation.

What a waste of the greatness which could have been!

But thankfully we have those with the skills and discipline who recognize Planet Earth cannot heal unless we seek and find the common ground to help pull each other 'out-of-the-box'.
Also, a big thank-you to the world leaders, universities, groups, and individuals who have the foresight to develop interlocking and overlapping platforms to cut through the layers of veneer that has prohibited, tangible solutions to help neutralize our Climate Change dilemma.
In closing;
If you have the discipline and skills as a researcher, scientist, or innovator and have been discouraged in the past by those who refuse to push, pull, or get out of the way . . I firmly believe the investment of your time to the humanitarian cause to help ease the pain of others will never be forgotten!
Who will take these actions?
Individual researchers, innovators, institutions and think tanks with the foresight and resources to recognize collective intelligence as responsible voices of reason.
Where will these actions be taken?
Everywhere on Planet Earth there is an opportunity.
What are other key benefits?
Planet Earth desperately needs elite individuals and groups to move innovation and preservation forward into solution!
What are the proposal’s costs?
Seeking common ground to find solution is a frame of mind that only comes from understanding and is freely given!
Those without understanding who refuse to PUSH, PULL, OR GET OUT OF THE WAY, the cost for their deliberate action or inaction of tangible solutions may cost many lives.
Time line
