While the idea of using digital blockchain-enabled technology for registry and CT is being bandied about in the social protection sector, this a great proposal for a number of reasons. While the 'friends & family' approach to verification of beneficiary information could be cited as the key weakness, because the methodology is essentially learning by doing, and identifies where initial work has been done that could serve as a possible launchpad for the proposed project, the weakness could become its strength. The most valuable contribution that this pilot could potentially be expected to produce is practical learning on how to design a robust 'trusted crowdsourcing' mechanism for verification of eligibility criteria info /etc.
