The Judges provided the following feedback on your proposal:
Judges found the core idea is interesting and saw that the focus on urban resilience addresses a core sustainable development challenge and that the principle of solidarity is essential to building community-wide resilience and insurance solutions. The proposed solution of combining credit and insurance with technical assistance on resilient housing construction/reconstruction is holistic, but the feasibility and sustainability of the proposed structures and solutions need further development and articulation. Furthermore, housing microfinance has very different characteristics from regular micro-finance. Thus, much work is required to flesh the details of the proposed financial scheme, including appropriate amount of meaningful credit, repayment terms and conditions, trigger for insurance, implementation mechanism etc. In order to ensure sustainability of proposed actions, details are also needed on wider issues such as land titles.
