Judges'' comments
- Laying underground carbon dioxide in flammable forest area sounds innovative. However, supporting research, methodology, possible environment impacts on fauna and flora – which could be significant – are missing from the proposal. More research and technical viability are needed to be done before going ahead with this initiative.
- Imaginative idea, yet the proposal is quite underdeveloped and thus doesn't address what would seem to be a broad range of feasibility challenges. Even if such a system could be deployed, it's not clear that we would want to.
