Cooling and a/c based on water as natural refrigerant and renewable thermal energy sources such as solar, district heating, biomass etc.

Description

Summary

Green transition of the largest market segment for cooling and a/c by replacing conventional system with thermally driven plug&play cooling systems based on renewable energy cutting power demand and GHG emissions by 70%and water as natural refrigerant.

SDG #7 - Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all
I warm climates, more than +60% of the electricity demand us used for cooling. In (rural) off grid areas, or(urban) areas with low access to energy, access to cooling for food storage, cooling of technical spaces or a healthy indoor environment in schools, clinics, hospitals etc. is either unavailable or costly to produce.
Plug&Play solar cooling systems will increase access to this building service without consuming electricity.

SDG #11 - Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
See describtion above for SDG #7.

SDG #12 - Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
At present consumers are left with no option for selecting sustainable cooling and a/c product types. All 3 billion cooling and air conditioning systems operating worldwide and all 135 mill. units sold annually in the global market are designed for electricity and industrial refrigerants with high GWP.
17% of the global electricity demand is consumed by  cooling and air conditioning systems  and the demand for cooling and a/c is rapidly growing globally. In EU, energy demand for cooling is expected to increase by 70% within 2030.

PURIX plug&play solar and district cooling systems are the first commercially available truly green cooling and a/c system based on thernal energy input and water as natural refrigerant.

SDG #13 - Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
Commercially available products is a unique opportunity for addressing 17% of the global electricity demand with off-the-shelf solutions for cutting up to 70% of the power demand and related GHG emissions, while applying water as natural refrigerant.
