Description
Summary
This proposal will achieve SDG No.13 Climate Action, SDG No. 15 Life on Land, SDG No.12 Responsible consumption and production and SDG No.3 Good Health and Well Being.
some of the actions this proposal will propose would be to advocate to the Zambian government that as a developing country in technology there would need to be a balance between production coupled with importation of these electronic devices and appliances and how we dispose of them as it accumulates, dealing with the fact that some of these electronic and electrical devices have a short lifespan. Secondly as the ewaste plant would be implemented ewaste would be disposed off the right way reducing the amounts of harmful gas emissions let out to the ozone layer as opposed to normal burning of ewaste at a dumpsite. Opening of ewaste collecting mechanisms would be implemented which will open chances of possible employment. sensitization programmes on effects poor ewaste disposal to the ozone in conjunction with the ministry of Health. Advocate also for an ICT policy to be revised and disseminated widely across the country.
