Proposal: System approach for greening the conventional agribusiness Contest: Exploring Synergistic Solutions for Sustainable Development Thank you for your contest entry, System approach for greening the conventional agribusiness. We appreciate your willingness to share your ideas, and also the time and effort you put into developing a proposal and submitting it to the
. As your entry did not sufficiently address some of the revisions the Judges were hoping to see, we did not advance it to the next round of competition. We encourage you to keep developing your idea. Transfer your proposal to a Workspace to re-open it, make edits, add collaborators, and even submit it into a future contest. You can do so by logging into your account, opening your proposal, selecting the Admin tab, and clicking “Move proposal.” We welcome you to stay involved in the Climate CoLab community: support and comment on proposals that have been named Finalists, and vote during the public voting period to help select the contest’s Popular Choice Winner. Climate CoLab will be opening more contests throughout the year and you are welcome to submit your proposal to those contests as well. Keep up the great work. We hope that by working together, we all can create solutions that wouldn’t otherwise be possible. Sincerely, Contest Fellows If there are additional comments from the Judges & Fellows, they will be included below.

The proposal to build 'green' agricultural producer union and 'green' consumer union in four rural districts in Sri Lanka is potentially interesting. However, this version needs a lot of work because as it currently stands it is neither clear, persuasive or appealing. I suggest the authors rewrite the proposal focused squarely on one plan - I suspect the agricultural producers union is best. Describe what is meant by green - low carbon? organic? fair trade? etc? Remove much from the proposal that is only tangential, or make clear how it is linked (things like the gift economy). This proposal will need a lot of work focusing on a clear project. Also, in revising, better align content to the call by indicating which previous CoLab proposals are relevant and incorporated and which SDG's will are being targeted. Furthermore, it feels like a singular solution rather than an integrated set of initiatives. I think that this proposal could be of benefit to other proposals and suggest that it maybe combine to strengthen one of the other proposals
