Converting waste agricultural biomass into an energy source is an interesting idea and there are some good actions in this field including policies such as feed-in tariffs and equipment such as cooking burners designed to utilize this energy source. This proposal could be improved with a comprehensive model presenting the gaps and opportunities in these countries for promoting this energy source. The proposal could be further strengthened by addressing project costs, timeline, potential challenges, and the potential productivity benefit to rice farmers of biochar.
