Judges'' comments
The proposal is a good first step in showing an innovative concept for generating renewable energy from wind. The next step for the proposer is to team up with engineers (structural, mechanical, and environmental) who help evaluate the technical feasibility. Questions to be answered include: A) the production output (kWh) per 10 feet of height (for instance), the construction cost per kW of capacity, the effective PPA cost ($/kwh). The cost of generating power must clear the market price for renewable power to the intended customers.
