This proposal is based on common hydro engineering principles and will I am sure deliver the benefits suggested in the proposal. The proposal has answered most of the questions in the application but has not addressed challenges. The technology exists and is commonplace in many countries. I am sure cost is a big issue for a rural community in Nepal, but I also wonder if delivering a high pressure water tank is not also a considerable challenge, and maybe this increases the cost substantially. Secondly, I wonder if a business model exists for this in Nepal where energy savings can be used to finance the costs of this project, similar to ESCO project financing in the US and Europe and elsewhere. I believe the proposal would be more compelling if more challenges were addressed in the proposal and if a more detailed business case were included.
