Pitch

it aims to promote citizen participation in the fight against climate change while trying to create a more secure and secure environment.

Description

Summary

taking into account the pollution of Waters, the poor management of our ratings, the misuse of plastic products or FOAM. the problem of deforestation in the country, the phenomenon of erosion, the cataclysms and damage of Cylons and Hurricanes in the Atlantic and many others; are among others that are related to mismanagement of the Environment and Climate Change.

In Haiti, the greatest problem of all those mentioned above results in the formation, education and commitment of the citizen who appears absent in all its compartments.

taking as an example the sad situation after the disaster related to the earthquake of January 12, 2010 in Hait. in a rather interesting time, we noticed the many results that the engagement of the citizen could carry. APRONHA and its various field-working partners deduce that if ever the commitment becomes operational and judicious, the numerous problems that are linked to global warming or generally to the protection of the environment could surely be improved until we find a new alternative for a safer, safer and green envirronnement...

Project

What actions do you propose?

Description of Program Activities. :
4Component 1: Awareness and Training Program

In the long term it is the local population that will be affected by the awareness and training program, the most vulnerable of whom during their activity sessions
Objective: to develop the real-life skills of the people targeted for their full participation in the management of the city and better monitoring of environmental strategies and community prevention
Expected results: More than 2000 families will be sensitized and trained on good behavior
Component 2: Distribution and start of promotional activities and community outreach
The various communal sections linked to the project, do not differ from other communities in the country where there is particularly a basic situation that deserve very serious adjustments.
Objective: To enable target families to benefit from community outreach activities and equally well develop partnershirp at the level of Local Associations and Groups
Expected results :
- Decrease in percentage of risk
- Promote the collaboration of Community Associations

Component 3.: Support for capacity increase

With regard to promotion activities at the level of the local population, the level of these infrastructures is for more than one as being very critical for all the communities.
To respond to this modest and irrefutable problem the Coordination of APRONHA together with its partners want to proceed with the realization of this project
Objective: To support and enable the most vulnerable families targeted while increasing their competence on environmental methodology and good practice

Who will take these actions?

State Partners:
1- Communal town hall of Jeremie, Moron, Chambellan, Saint Louis North, Gressier, Leogane, Jean Rabel, etc.
its partners have the role to help us in the selection of localities and communities to raise awareness and also play the role of regulator for the actions of the project that will focus on the environment, the establishment of green space and the provision of laws for sanctions and engagement of potential beneficiaries and citizens

2- The Local and Communal Committees of the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC), will assist and equip to respond more appropriately and effectively to the situation of Response and Sensibilsation and also, as they are volunteers; they will be our partners in the various activities of response, awareness and Promotion
