Climate Change Road Signs to combat Denialism
Aug 22, 2011
Here is an idea. Imagine you are driving on a West Texas Highway and you see a modest electronic billboard on the side of the road. It reports the average temp increase for this particular spot over the last decade or two and the projected increase. Another billboard near a low-lying coastal community may demonstrate sea level increase projected for this century. Another billboard in a southwestern state might project the increase in droughts over time. The same billboards should also indicate ways of lowering CO2 in their particular areas. For example, a billboard might compare the CO2 emitted by hybrids v. Non-hybrid large cars.
