Worked on sodium cooled fast reactor dynamics and safety analysis for 38 years. Field of specialisation is Thermal Hydraulics. This has got a large impact in providing passive safety to small fast reactors of IFR type. Have carried out Unprotected loss of flow accident analysis for Fast Breeder Test Reactor in India. It is clear fast reactors are necessary to effectively use the nuclear stockpiles and in fact prevent proliferation.
