Michelle Malanca has 16 years of experience in the field of environmentally sustainable development, from strategy and planning through implementation and construction. She is Vice President at the World Green Building Council, the member organization of over 100 national GBCs. 

The former Green Star Director at the Green Building Council of Australia, she is an expert in green building strategies, policies and rating systems and has been a consultant to organizations worldwide. Michelle has made numerous presentations on green building topics, including at conferences in the US, Mexico, Australia, South Africa and Kenya.

She has been a LEED Accredited Professional since 2003 and has served on the USGBC's LEED Implementation Advisory Committee. Michelle is also Co-Chair of the Sustainable Development Committee for the Urban Land Institute's San Francisco District Council.
