Founder and Director of Green Map System, Wendy E. Brawer is an eco-designer and social innovator. Today, the locally-led Green Map movement is charting sustainability in 900 diverse cities in 65 countries, supported and linked by the participatory tools, icons, multimedia and events Wendy has co-created and shared at GreenMap.org. Her local New York City Green Maps projects highlight her areas of expertise, including energy and climate change, waste reduction, accessible ecotourism and cycling, as seen at GreenMapNYC.org. Devoted to building capacity for social change, Wendy has been appointed Designer in Residence at Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, an Utne Visionary, Honorary Citizen of Nagakute Japan (host city of EXPO 2005) and Woman of Earth/Terre de Femme, as seen at EcoCultural.info.
