Member Profile
Adam grew up in the Chicago suburbs in a family that emphasized helping others and doing good for the world. He graduated from WashU in St. Louis in 2012, where he found a passion for sustainability and got hooked on climate justice advocacy. Since 2009 Adam has been heavily involved with the youth climate movement, organizing with WashU Green Action, the “MO Love” Student Climate Network, 1Sky, the Sierra Student Coalition, MORE, SustainUS, and the Energy Acton Coalition. Recently Adam dove into political organizing through The Bus Project in Oregon and the Virginia Climate Voters Campaign. In November Adam led the SustainUS COP19 delegation to Warsaw, which pushed for greater US climate ambition via stronger EPA carbon standards. Most recently, Adam co-founded a youth climate organizing fellowship called "Energy Justice Summer." The program connects young people with communities fighting fracking and gas development in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
