Dr. Renzo Guinto is a first-year Doctor of Public Health candidate at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. In Harvard, he is president of the Sustainability & Health Student Forum; researcher at Center for Health and the Global Environment; Associate Editor of the Harvard Public Health Review; and member of the Council of Student Sustainability Leaders, and the International Advisory Board of The Lancet Planetary Health.
Renzo was 2016 Aspen Institute New Voices Fellow; Healthy Energy Initiative Coordinator at Health Care Without Harm-Asia; co-investigator in the UHC Study Group, University of the Philippines (UP); consultant in the International Organization for Migration and Philippine Department of Health; and intern at the Social Determinants of Health Unit, WHO Geneva. He was a member of the Philippine Medical Association’s Committee on Environmental Health; The Lancet-University of Oslo Youth Commission on Global Governance for Health; and Philippine delegation to COP21 in Paris.
A graduate of UP’s accelerated medical program, Renzo also trained in the universities of Oxford, Copenhagen, and Western Cape, and the East-West Center (Hawaii). He was awarded the 2012 Lancet New Voices in Global Health; 2014 Emerging Voices for Global Health (ITM Antwerp); and 2015 Emerging Leader (World Heart Federation).
