Starting back in High School I wanted to make a positive impact on the world because I wanted future generations to have the same opportunities as I did. One ideal that has been passed on from my parents and still retains as a key life direction for me is to make sure the environment that my children grow up in is a world that was better than the last.  I cannot say I am in anyway close to parenthood, however this is something that constantly occupies my thoughts. It was for this reason that I chose CU and a degree in Environmental Studies, as well as a complimenting Business Minor.  Over my college experience I was able to take a number of classes and opportunities that had a profound impact on me. These specialties covered topics of environmental justice, systematic thinking and design, team communication, collaborative process improvement, videography, thoughtful design, business, sustainability, the list is continues. Most important though might have been the social connections I made, because while we might have large environmental and social problems to face in our lifetime, these are not problems that we have to face alone. We can face them together, through positive relationships, and can even use these relationships to build up our own resilience
