Dr. Riser is the founder of BLR Bio, a biotechnology company recently created to further develop an anti-fibrosis biologic therapy and diagnostic created in the Fibrosis and Renal Disease Laboratory at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago where he is Professor of Physiology and Biophysics as well as Professor of Medicine. During the last 11 years he has held this position at the University while his primary position was Director of Renal Research at Baxter Healthcare.
