Dr. Deepika Shetty is an architect with masters in urban design and doctorate in morphology of small town. She has presented papers regarding Indian aesthetics, integrated development in Udupi District and Morphology of small towns from perception of people. She has been teaching in Manipal University since 1998 and is presently associate professor at faculty of Architecture, Manipal University. She has been a consultant for Udupi comprehensive development plan in 2005 and comprehensive assessment report for coastal regulatory zone of Udupi district 2012. Both these reports have been submitted to government of Karnataka. She has been a resource person for training of architects for site planning aspects with disaster management aspects from 2007-8 sponsored by Govt. of India. She was part of consultancy team for assessment of Bhuj town and immediate action report given by CEPT University to government in 2001.
