Jayne F. Knott has a M.S. degree in civil engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a B.A. degree in physics and geology from Mount Holyoke College. She specializes in water resources, ground-water modeling, and is a certified Toxics Use Reduction and Resource Conservation Planner. JFK Environmental Services LLC is a certified Woman-owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (WBE and DBE).
Ms. Knott worked in the Water Resources Division of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and environmental consulting firms before becoming an independent environmental consultant in 1986. She has over 25 years experience working with ground-water and surface-water resources at inland sites and in coastal areas.
Ms. Knott has worked as part of scientific and legal teams evaluating contaminated ground water sites in the preparation of expert reports and expert witness testimony in litigation cases. These cases have included the estimation of the timing of releases, contaminant fate and transport, the effectiveness of remedial activities, and the identification of damages.
Ms. Knott has experience in the development, permitting, and construction of public water supply systems.
