Haishan Xia is Professor and Dean Professor in School of Architecture and Design, Beijing Jiaotong University. He is also Director of Jiusan Society in BJTU branch. His research interests focus on rail transportation and smart city planning, underground urban space integration plan and design, and green building. He teaches classes including Introduction to Architecture, Introduction to Green Buildings and Urban Design. His current publication includes Revolution of Green Building, Eco-transition of Urban Architecture and Integration Design, and Urban Edge: Case Study on Urbanization et al. Pro Xia received his doctoral degree in Architecture from Tongji University. And He was senior visiting scholar in University of Pennsylvania for one year. Before joining BJTU, he has worked as Dean of Architecture in University of Mining and Technology between 2004 to 2009. He earned prizes such us International Solar Competition Energy Balance.
