Ms. Ranger most recently completed 8 years consulting with firm, DNV GL, where she worked on a wide range of projects from LEED documentation and certification of schools to energy studies of commercial & industrial buildings to assessing the potential for microgrid applications. Previously, Ms. Ranger worked with the state's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education under a grant from the Mass Technology Collaborative to develop green school design and construction guidelines for k-12 public schools. The guidelines were completed prior to LEED for Schools was developed and served as the basis for New England regional green schools guidelines.
In her community, she has served over 10 years on the Somerville Commission on Energy Use and Climate Change and facilitated the city's undertaking of an energy performance contract, seeking and obtaining Green Communities status, establishing a residential energy efficiency program with ARRA funding, and is now helping the city plan for its goal of net zero energy by 2050.
Ms. Ranger holds an bachelor's degree in applied science for systems engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a second bachelor of arts in biology from Arcadia University.
