Muhammad Abdur Rahaman joined ADAMS (Association for Development Activities of Manifold Social-work) as Climate Change Impact and Response Professional in 2012 after having a decade long work in the field of development and action research. He worked with local, national and international organizations for a decade on climate change adaptation, natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, integrated water resource management. His current interests include community based interventions to enhance sustainable livelihoods, climate change adaptation. Mr. Rahaman is also working as Research Fellow of Social Science Research Council (SSRC) under Planning Commission of Ministry of Planning, Government of Bangladesh from 2009 to till now. He is also serving World Watch Institute as a Assessor of published articles relation to population and environment since August 2013. At present he is also working as program coordinator of CCBA project under Winrock International in vegetable value chain in coastal district like Barisal. He is conducting a research on promoting saline resilient forage production in the most saline prone coastal district of Bangladesh.
He is a prominent expert on climate resilient agriculture, climate compatible development, community based adaptation. A dozen of articles published in national and international journals. Two books were published on climate change issues including health and climate politics.
