Member Profile
I am a retired professor who primarily taught in the fields of Political Science and Environmental Studies. After retirement I published and spoke about climate change mitigation, but decided in 2009 that "adaptation" issues were unavoidable. So I've been studying genetics, paleoanthropology, evolution and the "emergent properties of complex systems" as a way to put climate change within the larger context of what it means to be in the Anthropocene.
I live with my wife in an off-grid passive solar home that we designed and built in the San Juan mountains of SW Colorado.
