Liang is currently a postdoc researcher in the University of Hamburg, Germany. He has a strong background in stakeholder-based technologies within the field of ecosystem management and climate adaptation. His work/research objective is to establish a new landscape of bottom-up climate adaptation/mitigation in both theory and practice.
Liang received his PhD in Geography in 2014 in the University of Hamburg, where he focused especially on climate change impacts and adaptation on the water risks in urban area. Before he moved to Germany in 2010, he studied land use planning/management in the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing.
