Joísa is coordinator of the College Masters Degree in Finance and Business Economics EPGE, graduated in Economics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1990), master's degree in economics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1995) and doctorate in economics from Getulio Vargas - RJ (2001). She was Director of the National Electric Energy Agency (2005-2009). In 2010 was Visiting Scholar at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. She is a professor at the Getulio Vargas - RJ (2010). She has experience in economics, with an emphasis on auctions, acting on the following topics: the regulation economy, energy saving, experimental economics and organizational theory and contract economy.
