I'm a 3rd year MIT PhD student in the Engineering Systems Division. My research focuses on the nuclear fuel cycle and decision-making. My goal is to help policy makers understand the tradeoffs in employing advanced nuclear recycling technologies. Should we recycle our nuclear fuel (expensive, potential proliferation and safety hazards increase), or should we stick with our current plan to bury the waste in a geologic repository (with all the negative environmental impacts that entails)? I'm proud to be helping the Collaboratorium in a moderator role. Please feel free to send me an email if I can help you navigate the site!
